Troubled Faraday Future goes ahead with the development of its FF 91 ultra-luxury EV, revealing its final interior design at the LA Auto Show.
Described as a “mobile, connected and luxury third internet living space,” the FF 91’s cabin is truly spectacular. Built on the company’s Variable Platform Architecture (VPA), the FF 91 looks interestingly on the outside, but it’s the interior that should steal the show – in the fortunate event that it reaches production, that is.
Faraday Future says it’s on a mission to change the concept of digital life when we are in our vehicles and the FF 91 is that vision turned into reality. “Our goal is to make your daily commute the highlight of your day through a rich digital experience and give you back more time in your day,” says Carsten Breitfeld, CEO of Faraday Future. Or you could disconnect from all gadgets and just enjoy the quick and comfy ride, how about that?

The place to be inside the FF 91 is the back, where two NASA-inspired Zero-Gravity Seats create a Neutral Body Posture by optimally distributing the user’s body weight on the seating surfaces. The business-class seats offer 60-degree reclining angles, which Faraday Future says it’s the best position for comfort.
The 14-way adjustable rear seats offer lower leg, lumbar, and upper back adjustments and support, as well as massage, heating, and ventilation. The lounge-like experience is enhanced by the ‘Spa Mode’ which adjusts ambient mood lighting and limo lighting, as well as visual and audio effects for a serene ambience.
The FF 91 EV also offers a full suite of office-level connectivity, including rear monitors with conference-calling ability and three 4G LTE modems for primary and backup internet connectivity. The vehicle also offers integrated Alexa, Sharedrop, as well as front and rear sound zones – up to four Bluetooth devices can be paired to the FFAI infotainment system at one time.
The FFAI infotainment system is powered by artificial intelligence that anticipates the needs of every passenger thanks to a combination of sensors, cameras with facial recognition, and proprietary software. As creepy as that may sound, the FF 91 is capable of reading your mood to adjust the temperature, music and even scent.
The vehicle can be equipped with up to 11 displays, including an ultra-wide 27-inch screen that descends from the roof when the optional Rear Cinema Experience is selected. There are also a 15.4-inch portrait-oriented Central Hub Display, an 11.6-inch digital instrument panel, the largest heads-up display in the industry, and even a 10.1-inch rearview display. Finally, each door features screens that adjust seat settings, climate control, individual sound zones, entertainment and more.
In addition to the details about the high-tech interior, Faraday Future has released the FF 91’s final specifications. The multi-motor powertrain delivers up to 783 kW (1,050 HP / 1,065 PS), enabling a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of less than 3 seconds.
The motors are fed by a 130 kWh battery with the highest energy density in the world, which should deliver an EPA-estimated driving range of 378 miles (608 km). Faraday Future also claims the fastest charge speed currently available – more than 500 miles per hour! Using the included home charger at 240V, the battery goes from 50 percent to full charge in under 4.5 hours.
