Jaguar has partnered with Hot Wheels to promote the facelifted F-Type which was unveiled earlier today.
As part of the collaboration, Hot Wheels built a 1:64 scale version of the sports car complete with a familiar black and white camouflage wrap.
The companies then went to work transforming Jaguar’s design studio into a massive Hot Wheels track. In total, it measured 761 feet (232 meters) long and had 25 loop-the-loops, three jumps and 44 treacherous corners. To keep things going smoothly, the team also used four kickers and 55 boosters. The latter helped to enable the tiny F-Type to hit scale speeds of up to 300 mph (483 km/h).

Since Jaguar also wanted to promote the 2021 F-Type, the track passed by sketches of the car and on top of a clay model. The scale coupe also traveled through the interior of an F-Type and eventually came to a stop alongside its full-sized counterpart.
According to Jaguar Design Director Julian Thomson, “As a designer and huge car enthusiast, Hot Wheels models have been a part of my life since childhood.” He went on to say “We are used to creating models in clay but seeing such a finely-detailed 1:64-scale model of the new F-Type race around the studio, showcasing every stage in our design process, was a truly unique experience.”
As for the full-size F-Type, it features an updated design with a more aggressive front fascia, a larger grille and slimmer headlights. The car has also been equipped with a new hood, updated front fender vents and revised taillights.
The interior largely carries over, but drivers will find a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a Touch Pro infotainment system. The latter features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility as well as the ability to receive over-the-air updates.
Depending on the market, four engines are available. The entry-level unit is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. At the other end of the spectrum, the range-topping F-Type R has 567 hp (423 kW / 575 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to run from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).
