After a number of low-resolution photos were published last month, a series of new official images of the Lynk & Co 05 have surfaced online.

Set to debut in China in the first half of 2020, the Lynk & Co 05 is essentially the ‘coupe’ variant of the 01 SUV, the brand’s very first model. It will launch alongside its 01 and 02 crossover siblings as well as the 03 sedan and the forthcoming 04 hatchback – and, to our eyes at least, it might be the best looking model of the bunch.

The front of the crossover features the same high nose as other Lynk & Co models with a split headlight design. Where things get particularly interesting is at the rear where there are sharp new taillights, thick C-pillars, black accents, a subtle diffuser, and twin tailpipes. These new images of the crossover show it in different colors and with a handful of different wheel designs.

Like other Lynk & Co models, the 05 uses the Volvo-developed CMA platform and will hit the market with an electrified 2.0-liter engine delivering 251 HP and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The inside of the 05 is vastly different than the 01 on which it is based. Most significantly, there is an angular new interior design that includes a large infotainment screen, sharp lines, a new steering wheel, and air vents incorporated nicely into the dashboard.

While the Geely-owned automaker has big plans of breaking into the U.S. and European markets, it is understood the 05 will be available exclusively in the Chinese market.
