If you’re attuned with what’s going on in the automotive world, you may be familiar with the Sherp, an off-road vehicle from Russia unlike anything else on earth. Now, the company has previewed its latest version dubbed ‘The Ark.’

The Sherp itself doesn’t appear to have changed very much, but what has changed is the presence of a huge trailer that it pulls along that can carry up to 20 people. While we say it’s a ‘trailer’, that’s not exactly the case as it features six driven wheels meaning it can go anywhere where the front passenger cab can.

In this video previewing The Ark, we get to see it crossing a frozen lake and despite breaking through the ice, it has no troubles in keeping occupants dry and continues to forge a path through the ice.

Unstoppable: Russia’s Unstoppable Sherp ATV Meets Texas Clay, Gets Stuck

Powering The Ark is a 2.4-liter diesel engine delivering 74 HP and 206 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque, which is sent through a five-speed manual transmission to an all-wheel drive system. The main cabin of the ATV is capable of overcoming 5-foot-high obstacles while traversing 6.5-foot-wide ditches. It also features an air-circulation system that uses gases from the exhaust to pump up the tires. On open-ground and with the passenger cell in tow, The Ark can reach 18.6 mph (30 km/h) while in water it has a top speed of 3.7 mph (6 km/h).

It appears as though no matter where the front cab of the Sherp goes, the passenger cab can easily follow behind.
