Ultra Rare McLaren Senna Can-Am Deliveries Underway As CarScoops Reader Snags First Model (New Pics)

The owner of the McLaren Senna Can-Am sent us a few more photos of his sizzling new ride, which we’ve attached below. [Updated 12/31/2019]

The McLaren Senna GTR is a rare beast as the track-only supercar was limited to just 75 units. It’s so rare that, when the model was unveiled, McLaren called it the “most exclusive member” of their Ultimate Series.

While that’s an impressive pedigree, there’s an even rarer variant that McLaren has been tight-lipped about. We’re of course talking about the street-legal Senna Can-Am which is reportedly limited to just three units.

McLaren might be staying quiet, but one of readers recently took delivery of the first Can-Am in Canada. We’re keeping their identity under wraps, but they were kind enough to share several photos with us.

As you can see in the pictures, the car looks like a typical Senna at first glance. However, a closer inspection reveals metallic accents, front fender vents and Canadian flags. We can also see a numbered badge on the rear fender, Can-Am lettering on the rear wing and a center-mounted four-tailpipe exhaust system which replaces the triple tips used on the standard model.

The unique styling continues in the cabin as there’s as there’s carbon fiber seats with Alcantara upholstery and Can-Am embroidery on the headrests. There’s also oodles of carbon fiber and an individually numbered Can-Am badge.

McLaren has been surprisingly quiet about the Cam-Am, but previous reports have suggested it uses an upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 814 hp (607 kW / 825 PS). That means the model has 25 hp (19 kW / 25 PS) more than the standard Senna and the same output as the Senna GTR.

Thanks to the extra power, the model should be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 2.8 seconds and run from 0-186 mph (0-299 km/h) in under 18.8 seconds. The Can-Am should also eclipse the standard model’s quarter mile time of 9.9 seconds, but it remains unclear if the top speed has increased past 208 mph (335 km/h).

With deliveries currently underway, hopefully McLaren will release details in short order.
