We’ve seen many motorized reinterpretations of Santa’s sleigh over the years, and chances are we’ll see many more in the future.
A year ago, Dodge actually built a real-life Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Sleigh and brought it to the 2018 LA Auto Show, much to the surprise of American muscle car fans. Now we can show you another Santa sleigh-themed muscle car, but this time with wheels instead of tracks.
Although it’s called Hellcamino, it’s not really based on a Chevrolet El Camino. Instead, Abimelec Design digitally transformed a classic Dodge Charger coupe into a ute inspired by the El Camino. The artist says the goal was to do a hot rod-style interpretation of Santa’s sleigh and we believe they achieved it, although the connection with Santa’s sleigh might not be that clear for some viewers.

Still, it’s a cool exercise, especially since it packs Hellcat power – hence the name Hellcamino. Chances are Santa won’t miss his reindeers, because this muscle ute can unleash 707 horses from its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 power plant.
Choosing a coupe utility body style makes sense because the bed offers plenty of space for presents – in this case, a bundle of Mopar race car parts. Other cool details include the lowered suspension, custom wheels, vented engine hood, side exhausts and Hellcat symbol modified with reindeer antlers.
We can’t possibly find anything wrong with this ride and we’re quite positive Santa Claus would be happy to switch his sleigh for a Hellcamino. If only someone decided to build it and fit an AWD-system as well for those back and forth trips to Lapland…
