Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH) and Aston Martin Lagonda have unveiled the first fruit of their recently-announced collaboration.

It’s called the ACH130 Aston Martin Edition and it was fittingly revealed at Courchevel in the French Alps. Available in four unique Aston Martin signature designs, the luxury helicopter will take the British luxury car manufacturer’s design and craftsmanship to the skies.

Airbus Corporate Helicopters and Aston Martin worked closely together for more than a year to create the special edition helicopter, which targets hands-on owners who like to personally pilot their aircraft. The British brand’s input is most visible inside the automotive-inspired cabin where the materials come from the Aston Martin automotive range, as the Aston Martin wings are embossed onto the leather seats and other luxury leather features.

The interior is trimmed in Pure Black ultra-suede with a palette of available leathers comprising Oxford Tan, Pure Black, Cormorant and Ivory. The rear of the front seats features the same brogue detailing as in the DB11 grand tourer, while the doors have been trimmed with leather for increased comfort. Each of these ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopters will have a plaque included on the instrument panel displaying the partnership logos, the edition number and the owner’s name (should they wish so).

The helicopter you see in these photos features a Stirling Green-themed external scheme consisting of a painted gradient which fades down into Jet Black on the underside of the aircraft, with Skyfall Silver around the cowlings. Other available Aston Martin external liveries include Xenon Grey, Arizona and Ultramarine Black.

“This first application of our design practices to a helicopter posed a number of interesting challenges but we have enjoyed working through them. Beauty is of vital importance to Aston Martin and to our customers and we think the ACH130 Aston Martin Edition is an inherently beautiful machine,” said Aston Martin Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman.

The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition is available on request with deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2020.
