Last month, Mercedes announced plans to introduce a new concept at CES. Now, we’re getting our first glimpse of the mysterious model.
Teased on social media earlier today, the short clip shows the concept will have an illuminated front fascia with a LED light strip that apparently spans the width of the hood.
The light strip breaks off into three smaller segments, at the outside edges of the car, to form distinctive headlights. Further below, we can see what appears to be a grille with blue lights between the supports.

Mercedes is keeping details under wraps, but the company has previously described the model as a “pioneering” concept which has been “inspired by one of the most innovative brands of the entertainment sector.”
The company still hasn’t mentioned what brand they’re talking about, but the concept is slated redefine “sustainable modern luxury.” Mercedes has also hinted we can expect “creative and trendsetting features.”
That’s pretty vague, but Daimler CEO Ola Källenius will be giving a keynote address where he will provide a “visionary outlook of the future interaction between man and machine.” That suggests the concept could be equipped with new and innovative controls.
While Mercedes is staying tight-lipped, it’s believed the concept will be an electric vehicle from the EQ sub-brand. That remains unconfirmed, but it seems likely as the automaker will also be displaying the EQC and Vision EQS concept.
Of course, we’ll find out soon enough as the mysterious concept is slated to be unveiled on January 6th.
