Lexus introduced the 2021 LC 500 Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, and now they’ve unveiled a limited edition model at the Barrett-Jackson gala in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Set to be auctioned off this Friday on January 17th, the first production model is a one of a kind convertible known as the “LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1.”
Based on the LC Inspiration Series, the car features a Structural Blue exterior with Liquid Platinum accents on the mirrors and lighting unit surrounds. The vehicle has also been equipped with exclusive 21-inch forged alloy wheels that feature Liquid Graphite spokes with contrasting gloss black accents. They’re backed up by a high-performance braking system with unique blue brake calipers.
The special styling continues in the cabin as the model, which wears VIN 100001, has white semi-aniline leather and unique carbon door still plates.

Like the standard LC 500, the convertible has a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 471 hp (351 kW / 478 PS) and 398 lb-ft (539 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
Besides getting the keys to a new convertible, the winning bidder will receive a framed sketch of the car and a portfolio with production line photos. They’ll also get a special certificate signed by chief engineers as well as general manager of the Motomachi plant where the LC 500 is built.
As an added bonus, the highest bidder will receive a “curated driving package that includes a Lexus Performance Driving Experience with brand ambassador Scott Pruett, a three-night hotel stay for two at Pebble Beach Resort, a round of golf for two at Pebble Beach Golf Course, and more.” If that wasn’t enough, the company is also throwing in a Zero Halliburton luggage set which fits in the trunk of the LC 500 Convertible and features unique Lexus styling cues.
There’s no auction estimate, but the entire sale price will be split evenly between the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The former hosts after-school programs for kids, while the latter benefits veterans, service members and their families.
The car will be auctioned off on January 17th at approximately 4:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Those who can’t attend the event in person, can place their bids at Barrett-Jackson.com.
According to Lisa Materazzo, Vice President of Lexus Marketing, “We’re very excited to expand our flagship LC family with the launch the all-new 2021 LC 500 Convertible, but the most important thing about the auction is the money we raise for two amazing charities. We’re thrilled to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America in its efforts to provide services to children across the country as well as the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s goal to help our veterans and their families.”
