A 2019 Ford Mustang GT Convertible from GSS Supercars with a color theme that might not be to everyone’s taste will cross the auction block at Worldwide Auctioneers Scottsdale event later today.
To create the two-tone black and gold Mustang, GSS Supercars started out with a run-of-the-mill Mustang GT Convertible and fitted it with a Roush supercharger, meaning the 5.0-liter V8 engine now pumps out 725 hp, almost as much as the new Shelby GT500. Other modifications made to the powertrain include a new air intake system and a bespoke exhaust system. The pony car also sets of a set of lowering springs to give it a more appealing stance on the road.

Bathing the exterior of the car are a multitude of parts from Hurst Racing. For example, there’s a bespoke hood, Hurst stripes and logos, a large rear wing, and Hurst Stunner 20-inch wheels finished in gold and chrome and wrapped in Bridgestone rubber that’s 305 mm wide in the rear and 265 mm wide at the front.
Inside, the modified muscle car includes a pistol grip shifter, leather upholstery, and gold stitching.
GSS Supercars is said to have built just 50 examples of its Hurst Racing Mustang GT Convertible and while some have Ford’s available six-speed manual transmission, this one features the automatic. Nevertheless, we’re sure it’s still a thrill to drive thanks to all of the power under that golden hood.
Those interested in the car will be pleased to know that it retains the car’s standard 36-month bumper-to-bumper warranty and 60-month powertrain warranty.
