As Top Gear’s 28th season edges closer to hitting screens, a superb compilation video has been shared on YouTube showing some of the fastest cars featured during season 27 of the show.
The first car featured is the Tesla Model 3 Performance, one of the most thrilling performance sedans of recent memory and one we had the pleasure of spending some time with last year. Chris Harris put it to the test alongside some of the established offerings in this segment such as the BMW M3, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, and Mercedes-AMG C63 S.
The second feature comes from perhaps our favorite segment of season 27 and stars the Lotus 79, the first Formula One car to take full advantage of ground effects aerodynamics. Watching Harris drive this iconic F1 car around a circuit really is a sight to behold.

Also featured in this compilation video is a head-to-head test starring the Ferrari 488 Pista and McLaren 600LT before we see Harris drive the Dallara Stradale. This track-focused weapon comes from one of the most prolific racing car manufacturer’s and proves that if you make a car as light as possible, fit it with a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and affix a host of parts to generate huge amounts of downforce, you can create one of the finest driving machines currently on the market.
Rounding off the video is Top Gear’s track test of the new Toyota Supra where Harris exploited the sports car’s performance with Paddy McGuinness in the passenger seat. The veteran journalist’s opinion of the car is a little controversial to say the least.
