Netflix’s stellar F1 documentary series Drive to Survive is returning for its second season, with the release date finally being set for February 28.

In Season 2, the cameras will shine on both Ferrari as well as Mercedes, the two teams that were sadly absent from Season 1. This means that the behind-the-scenes action will surely include Lewis Hamilton winning his sixth drivers’ title.

Meanwhile, Ferrari chairman Louis Camilleri recently talked about the show, describing it as a “great move” for the sport in terms of attracting a brand new audience to Formula 1.

As for what to expect, it’s a safe bet that most if not all of 2019 major highlights will be included in the show, such as the genuinely dramatic German Grand Prix, recently voted by F1 fans as the “race of the decade”.

Other spectacular races from 2019 include the Brazilian Grand Prix, where there wasn’t a single position on the field left unchallenged, but also Austria, where Max Verstappen pulled out an amazing victory.

Then there are the individual performances, with Lewis Hamilton shining in Monaco and Great Britain, Verstappen in Austria and Germany, and Leclerc in Bahrain. However, let’s not forget George Russell’s efforts during qualifying in Hungary, or Alex Albon’s performance in China.

Speaking of Albon, the mid-season switch between himself and Pierre Gasly will surely be covered in the docuseries.

After all was said and done, Lewis Hamilton finished the year on top with a massive 413 points, followed by Bottas with 326, Verstappen with 278, Leclerc with 264 and Vettel with 240.
