A brief teaser trailer for Fast & Furious 9 has been shared online by Vin Diesel. The first official poster for the film has also been released.
The ninth installment of the film, which is simply being referred to as F9, is scheduled to hit cinemas on April 8 this year. In the teaser trailer, Dominic Toretto, played by Diesel, is filmed spending some quality time with his wife Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) and their son Brian on a rural property.

Dominic narrates the teaser and at one stage says “Things change, now that I’m a father, I can’t live my life a quarter-mile at a time anymore.” Towards the end of the trailer, Letty places a crucifix necklace on Brian saying “It’s protection…from what’s coming.” Evidently, the stars of the film will be faced with many hardships during F9.

Fast & Furious 9 will see the return of many of the franchise’s biggest stars, including Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron. However, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham who got their own Fast and Furious spinoff, the “Hobbs & Shaw”, won’t be featured. One new, albeit familiar face, to the film will be John Cena.
Filming of F9 kicked off last year in the UK where the scenes in the teaser trailer are thought to have been shot. In August, film crews for the Hollywood blockbuster took to the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia with a handful of wild vehicles including two orange A90 Toyota Supras and a black 1970 Dodge Charger that will inevitably be driven by Toretto. A number of other high-performance machines can be expected.
The first full trailer for Fast & Furious 9 will drop this Friday.
