2021 Jaguar F-Pace Getting Brand New Light Units, Front And Rear

Jaguar is slowly but steadily updating the looks of its passenger-car range, with the XE being the first to receive visual as well as technical upgrades last year.

Next up are the XF mid-size saloon and the F-Pace crossover, both of which will be updated in a similar fashion to the XE, meaning they will look a little sharper and feature better on-board tech so as to pose more of a threat to their respective German rivals.

We first spotted Jaguar testing out updated F-Pace prototypes towards the end of last year, although those cars featured slightly heavier camouflage, especially around the headlight and taillight area.

Now we can clearly see that the F-Pace will come with restyled headlights, where the bottom is no longer straight but somewhat undulating. The grille will also change in shape, as will the front bumper.

At the back, the taillights will be different, with different graphics as well, while the bumper will be redesigned. As for why the tailpipe section is all covered up on this prototype, it could be that some changes are coming to that area as well.

Inside, this prototype kept things pretty well under wraps, so we can assume that changes are coming to the infotainment system, and possibly the dashboard layout too, as well as the steering wheel and the gear selector.

As for the engine range, Jaguar will continue to sell the F-Pace with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol units, as well as diesel options for European buyers. The Range Rover Sport’s 395 HP inline-six mild-hybrid system with 48V tech could also migrate to the F-Pace, joining the SVR version, which may or may not still be in the cards.

Jaguar will unveil the facelifted F-Pace crossover sometime this year.
