We All Miss Saab, But Would You Pay Nearly $30,000 For This Low Mileage 9-5 Aero?

If you’re still sobbing over Saab, you’re in luck as a low mileage 9-5 Aero has surfaced on eBay.

The 2011 model looks immaculate and has just 19,383 miles (31,194 km) on the odometer. That’s pretty remarkable for a nine year old sedan, but there’s a huge caveat – the seller wants $29,900 (£23,322 / €27,110).

That’s new car money for a vehicle that’s almost a decade old. It’s also nearly twice as much as Kelly Blue Book’s highest fair market estimate.

Of course, the final generation Saab 9-5 is pretty rare as only 11,280 units were made before the company collapsed. Furthermore, finding low mileage examples in good shape is becoming increasingly difficult.

Putting all that aside, this particular model is a Canadian car which is described as “virtually new.” It’s hard to argue with that as the vehicle looks like it just rolled off the factory floor.

The paint job appears flawless and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of rust. The interior also looks great, other than some slight wear on the driver’s seat.

If that wasn’t tempting enough, the seller says the car is “loaded with ALL available options.” They go on to say this includes a panorama sunroof, GPS navigation and a Harman/Kardon premium audio system. Other niceties include a head up display, an adaptive suspension and park distance control. The model also has some subtle modifications including factory approved lowering springs and “European Ice Block” taillights.

Motivation is provided by a turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 engine that produces 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which sends power to an all-wheel drive system.

While the car was originally sold it Canada, the seller says it’s “fully admissible” into the United States. The model can also be shipped overseas.

This particular car is pretty pricey, but it’s a remember that Saab went bust just as they were getting interesting.
