Had the 2020 Geneva Motor Show not been cancelled, visitors would have been treated to multiple GFG Style concepts on location, including this, the Vision 2030 Desert Raid.

Apparently, this isn’t so much a hypercar, but rather a hyper SUV, designed for off-road use. It is derived from the original 2030 EV concept, but unlike its sibling, the Desert Raid two-seater has even more ground clearance, a visible spare wheel and a larger trunk.

All that aside, the bodywork components are the same between the 2030 and the 2030 Desert Raid. Yet, the track is wider on this new concept, while the sand-focused tires feature smaller 20-inch rims. Other changes include the additional mudguards, which are made from carbon fiber.

As for the interior, there’s a lot more to it than just the leather upholstery. For example, the concept features some extreme fabrics and materials such as Kult by PT, introduced last year in the GFG Style Kangaroo concept. The seats meanwhile are described as “sportier, restraining and enveloping”

We just hope that padding is sufficient if someone is actually planning on taking the Desert Raid out for a lengthy blast through the desert.

Speaking of blasting through difficult terrain, the electric GFG Style Vision 2030 Desert Raid concept (heck of a long name, we know), is said to put down 380 kW (510 HP), as well as 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. The power is then channeled through all four wheels, allowing you to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds, before maxing out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

Meanwhile, the 90 kWh battery allows for an all-electric range of more than 450 km (280 miles), which is pretty good for a rough-terrain vehicle.

The concept measures 4,770 mm (187.8 inches) in length, 2,120 mm (83.46 inches) in width, stands 1,360 mm (53.5 inches) tall and has a 2,830 mm-long (111.4 inch) wheelbase, to go with 240 mm (9.45 inches) of ground clearance.
