A Nissan GT-R has been damaged after crashing while pulling away from a Cars and Coffee event in Orlando, Florida.

Video of the incident shows the driver of the Japanese sports car pulling aggressively out of the parking lot where the Cars and Coffee event was held and accelerating down a perfectly straight stretch of road. However, as the GT-R accelerates, the rear-end starts to step out, and before the driver is able to correct it or let off the throttle, Godzilla jumps the curb and slides across the sidewalk before coming to a stop on a section of grass.

What’s particularly funny about the incident is that the GT-R driver pulled out directly behind a very loud Ford Mustang which also accelerated away from the event. Evidently, the Nissan was trying to mimic the crash-prone demeanor of the Mustang. It succeeded.

Almost immediately after the crash, dozens of young kids start to sprint over to the car to check out the damage. It only adds to what is already a pretty humorous video.

Images and at least one video shared online after the crash reveal that the front fascia of the GT-R suffered a bit of damage with the splitter cracked and a number of dents in the bumper. It’s reasonable to assume some other damage was done, particularly to the undertray of the car.

As for why the rear of the all-wheel-drive Nissan stepped out so easily, that’s a little less clear. The driver may have switched off the traction control system or the car may have been running on worn/old tires. Whatever the case may be, the driver will have to cough up to get the car fixed.
