We all know how Mercedes-Benz’s foray into the world of pickup trucks has gone but that hasn’t stopped designer Adel Bouras from wondering what a potential pickup from Porsche could look like. The vehicle presented, dubbed the Traykan, certainly looks the part.
With the X-Class, Mercedes-Benz created a pickup based on the Nissan Navara but other than a few nice luxuries and the prestigious Three-Pointed Star badge, not much differentiates it from the plethora of other pickups on the market. With the Porsche Traykan, Bouras has gone down a different path and created a vehicle that looks like a proper sports car that just so happens to be a pickup.

The front of the Porsche features a pair of LED headlights and a light bar connecting them. There are also two fog lights lower down on the front bumper as well as a black grille and black air intakes. The go-anywhere philosophy of the concept becomes particularly apparent when viewed from side-on, thanks to the presence of off-road tires, beefed up wheel arches, side steps, and a jacked-up ride height.
Found at the rear of the Traykan are thin taillights, a relatively small bed, and dual tailpipes.
Now, while a Porsche pickup truck sounds completely outlandish, with the ongoing craze of all-electric pickups, the Traykan could work particularly well with a similar powertrain to the Taycan, providing it with monstrous levels of torque and sports car-rivaling speed acceleration and handling.
