How Much Would You Be Willing To Pay For This 6k Mile 2008 Audi R8?

While it probably won’t gain collector status anytime soon, the first-generation Audi R8 will go down in history as an iconic model for the Ingolstadt-based carmaker, thanks to its timeless design and overall sales success.

In movie circles, it’s also known as the “Iron Man Audi”, following its appearance in Marvel Studios’ Iron Man movie from 2008, coincidentally the same year in which this particular low-mileage example was built.

The car is getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, and according to the ad, the 4.2-liter FSI naturally aspirated V8 unit has only been firing for 6,300 miles (10,138 km).

The exterior is finished in Phantom Black Pearl and comes with the optional Carbon Sigma side blades. Other features include front and rear parking sensors and stock 19-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.

Inside, there is light grey leather to go with the contrasting black center console and dashboard. The seats are power-adjustable and heated, while a look at the switchgear reveals the automatic climate control system and the presence of Audi’s Navigation Plus infotainment system.

The previously-mentioned 4.2-liter V8 unit produces 414 HP (420 PS) and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque, sent to all four wheels with the aid of a six-speed sequential gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) occurs in 4.6 seconds, while top speed is rated at 301 km/h (187 mph).

In a nutshell, this here is a clean-looking fast car, that should still prove fun to drive on winding roads or a straight line. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a daily driver though, since its sequential gearbox is notoriously jerky around town.
