The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is available in Spain in a new launch edition that can only be purchased online, which is fitting given the novel coronavirus worldwide pandemic.
As Spain’s first BMW available exclusively through an online platform, the 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow offers fresh content that focuses on enhancing the car’s styling.
The limited edition BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe comes only in a Sapphire Black paint, combined with Shadow Line BMW Individual exterior accents for a sinister appearance. The car rides on 19-inch M Performance Style 555 M alloy wheels in matte Jet Black.

BMW Spain offers the Black Shadow edition in combination with three powertrains: the 218i, 220d and M235i xDrive. The BMW 218i Gran Coupe and 220d Gran Coupe feature the M Sport finish, while the M235i xDrive gets the M Performance Package, which includes a weight reduction and the M Performance exhaust system.
Inside, the 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow Edition brings sports seats with Sensatec and cloth upholstery, M leather steering wheel, BMW Individual anthracite roof lining, M floor mats, and other M goodies.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow Edition is offered with a pre-sale discount of more than €2,000 ($2,165) for the 218i and 220d and more than €1,500 ($1,622) for the M235i xDrive.
Prices start from €37,675 ($40,790) for the 140 PS (138 HP) BMW 218i Gran Coupe Black Shadow, €47,086 ($50,975) for the 190 PS (187 HP) 220d Gran Coupe Black Shadow and €63,127 ($68,350) for the 306 PS (302 HP) M235i xDrive Gran Coupe Black Shadow. Yes, you read that right, almost $70k for a front-wheel-drive BMW compact car.
