If you were driving a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, regardless of whether you owned the car, were loaned it by a friend, or rented it, you can bet your bottom dollar you’d like some rolling shots of it on the move with you behind the wheel.
In an age of social media where ‘influencers’ are earning more than scientists working on medical breakthroughs, people have started to go from hilarious to outright deadly dangerous lengths for the perfect photos they can share on their feeds and that’s likely exactly what is happening here.

This video was filmed in the U.S., perhaps in Texas, and shows a photographer hiding in the trunk of a Chevrolet Cruze that’s driving in front of a bright red Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. It’s not unusual for automotive photographers to stretch out of windows to get the perfect shot and I’d be lying if I said I haven’t done just that in the past, but on a highway? What makes this clip outlandish is that the photographer is lying down in the cramped trunk of the Cruze and peeking out from a small opening.
Photographers for car manufacturers and film crews for car shows such as Top Gear frequently snap pictures and get rolling footage in a similar way but would use an SUV/estate that has a much larger trunk that allows them to sit upright. They are also often restrained in some way so they don’t fall out.
To the credit of the Cruze driver, at least they had their hazard lights flashing during this bizarre photoshoot.
