We can think of a lot of uses for what we normally know as a bull bar, but being a “pedestrian safety bar” ain’t surely one of them, unless you purposely want to protect your vehicle’s well-being from…people. Lost in translation, something else that escapes us, who knows, but that’s how Delta 4×4 describes the bar in its release for the Ford Ranger tuning package.
Beyond that humorous bit, the German tuner has added Ford’s mid-size pickup truck to its portfolio, increasing its off-road prowess with simple yet effective solutions.

We’ll talk about the costs in a minute, but first let’s see what’s else new. If you checked out the images, then you’ll have noticed that it has fender extensions, finished in the same color as the rest of the vehicle. These leave room for 18-inch wheels, shod in chunky 305/60 tires, while the lift kit that includes new springs and shock absorbers, together with other mods, increase ground clearance by 14 cm (5.5 in).
The bull bar at the front serves also as a mounting point for the LED auxiliary lights that come from PIAA. These cost €600 ($658) in Germany, while those rims, complete with Cooper tires, will set you back €2,900 ($3,180). The body lift kit is another €2,260 ($2,478) and the aftermarket suspension comes at €2,216 ($2,431). Finally, the fender flares and front bar can be had at €1,800 ($1,974) and €560 ($614) respectively.
The total cost of the upgrades is €10,336 ($11,335), without installation and painting. This also excludes other parts found in their catalogue that would make the Ranger more versatile and/or potent off the beaten path. More power is not on the menu either.
