An epic Lamborghini Miura SV once owned by the Saudi Royal Family is looking for a new home from Joe Macari Performance Cars in London.

The Miura in question was delivered new to the Saudi Royal Family shortly after rolling off the production line in 1972. As the car was bound for a particularly special buyer, Lamborghini fitted the front bumper with two aero canards, making it one of just two Miuras to feature such add-ons. Furthermore, it is one of just 96 Miuras to feature a split-sump system that separates the engine and gearbox oils.

The car spent much of its life hidden away from view when in the early 2000s it was found in a large warehouse owned by the Saudi Royal Family underneath a hoard of cardboard boxes. It was later purchased and exported to the United States in 2005 and underwent a comprehensive restoration that was completed two years later.

Interestingly, the restoration saw the car painted in a unique shade of Metallic Grey which proved very popular and was later dubbed ‘Grigio Fantastico Metallizzato’ by noted Lamborghini Miura historian and concours judge Joe Sackey.

The car was exported to Europe in early 2011 and has been under the possession of Joe Macari Classics ever since. Mileage sits at a mere 5,759 km (3,578 miles) which the seller claims makes this the lowest original mileage Miura SV on earth. Consequently, it comes as little surprise that it’s carrying a £2,594,950 (US$3,208,512) price tag.
