The sixth-gen Toyota Celica doesn’t send any Aston Martin vibes to us, but it did to Dave Jones Kitcars, who made 5 complete kits that supposedly made it look like a… DB9 (but not really).

One of them has popped up for sale on eBay UK with a ‘buy it now’ price of £1,995.95 (about $2,500). The kit doesn’t include the donor car, which costs from under £1,000 to £10,000 (about $1,200-$12,000 in Britain) with a few exceptions in today’s market, and you have until April 12 to decide whether you want it or not.

According to the UK vendor, it includes 14 main pieces such as the bonnet, complete with hinges, front bumper with grille, front and rear quarter panels, side skirts, doors with functional exterior and interior handles and windows, rear roof panel, boot lid and diffuser. He also states that “this is a well made heavy fibreglass kit moulded from the original DB9 panels – Not a cheap flimsy mass produced kit”.

These panels can be attached to any Celica T200, which was manufactured between 1993 and 1999, with bolts, adhesive and plenty of labor. According to the seller always, the body panels are in decent condition, except for one of the front quarter panels that has a chip in it. Further elbow grease is required to seal the lower parts of the doors and to modify the rear bumper to install the taillights which, by the way, are not included, and neither are  the headlights seen in the photos.

The vendor claims this would make a great project for an enthusiast who has the time and funds to build a DB9 replica, but what say you?
