Is it a pile of rust, a burnt supercar or an art project? Actually, it’s neither of the three, but one of Liberty Walk’s creations, a McLaren 650S Spider with an apocalyptic theme.

The British model comes from the Ukraine, where it paid a visit to the Chernobyl site in an artsy video put together by a local crew.

In the short film, the 650S is found resting under a cover, in an abandoned building, and all it needed to come back to life was the taste of fuel on its lips. With the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine growling again, it took to the roads to stretch out and was driven far away from the Exclusion Zone, to a much cleaner place, where one does not need a nuclear gas mask anymore.

As previously mentioned, the 650S Spider in question is the work of Liberty Walk. The Japanese tuner took care of the modifications, fitting it with their bespoke body kit that consists of the bolt-on fenders, big side skirts, new front apron, modified rear bumper with diffuser, huge rear wing and custom wheels. The piece du resistance is the unique wrap that gives it an apocalyptic vibe.

The tuner is not known for juicing up engines, so we think that the V8 still pumps out 650 PS (641 HP / 478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. The stock 650S Spider needs 3.0 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) and has a maximum speed of 329 km/h (204 mph).
