Everyone knows that the Honda Accord is safe, reliable, and a good overall package but is it actually any fun to drive? That’s what Roadshow aims to discover in the video review below.

The 2020 Accord is offered in a multitude of guises starting out with the entry-level 1.5L Turbo LX model priced from $24,800 and complete with a CVT. However, once you start to move up in the Accord range, you get to the 2.0T Sport that was tested here.

As the name implies, this model is powered by a 2.0-liter VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine delivering 252 hp and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque and actually derived from the Honda Civic Type R’s almighty powertrain. What’s particularly interesting about this engine is that it can be paired to a six-speed manual, as featured in the review below, or a ten-speed automatic.

It’s becoming increasingly uncommon for even sports cars to use stick-shifts nowadays so whenever a family sedan hits the market with an available manual, it immediately attracts our attention, even more so when it comes from Honda, a carmaker that does manual gearboxes better than most (ask any S2000 driver).

In this test, it’s noted that the transmission is very nice to use and coupled to a light and direct clutch. Indeed, the reviewer says that the overall drivetrain package is “wonderful.” Sure, you’re not going to be fooled into thinking you’re driving a Civic Type R but the car does have a bit of grunt.

EPA ratings for the 2.0T Sport with the six-speed sit at 22/32/26 mpg city/highway/combined while prices start at $31,990.
