Ford looks to be working on its own network of supercharging stations and according to a trademark filing uncovered by the Mach-E Club, the charging network may be dubbed ‘Fastor Charge.’
The trademark was originally filed on the 10th of July, 2018 but only recently published for opposition. Not only is the name a little out of the ordinary but the script used in the logo is also quite complex, although it does mimic the script of Ford’s company logo.

It does come as somewhat of a surprise that Ford seems to be planning a proprietary charging network like Tesla. In October last year, even before the Ford Mustang Mach-E was unveiled, Ford announced a partnership with Electrify America that would allow the electric SUV to use VW’s subsidiary’s charging network, like many other EVs.
While Tesla’s Supercharger network has established itself as the industry leader, it seems unlikely Ford will endeavor to establish such a large network of its own chargers. One possibility is that dealerships may use the ‘Fastor Charge’ facilities, similar to how some Porsche dealerships feature the marque’s Turbo Charging stations.
As for the Ford Mustang Mach-E itself, new details have revealed that a host of variants will get slightly more horsepower and torque than originally promised by Ford. Five different versions will be offered to customers, starting with the RWD Standard Range Mach-E producing 266 hp and 317 lb-ft (429 Nm) and culminating with the Mach-E GT that is good for 459 hp and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm). The first U.S. deliveries will begin later this year.
