Nissan has become the latest car manufacturer to release a coloring book to keep its fans entertained while in lockdown.
The Japanese car manufacturer refers to this as its #DrawDrawDraw social project and over the past few weeks, Nissan designers from around the world have created sketches of various Nissan models.

“To draw, draw, draw, in our world, is one of the best ways to close the gap between wonderful creative impulses in your head and making it a reality – especially as we face this global pandemic together,” Nissan’s senior vice president for global design Alfonso Albaisa said. “Our team of designers, worldwide, are using this time to breathe, to draw, to dream creatively. I know that some of their best work will come from the challenges that we’re facing now. So we thought, ‘Why not give everyone a chance to express themselves creatively and share it with those who will appreciate it?’”
A video released by Nissan shows Albaisa at his home sketching out a Datsun 240Z with his two young sons. Other designers from Nissan will share videos online in the coming weeks to show what they are drawing while stuck at home and will also discuss their design inspirations, how they became car designers and offer tips for those who want to break into the business.
There are heaps of Nissan models that make up the coloring book. These include the Nissan Ariya Concept, Choi-Mobi, Fairlady (Datsun 240Z), GT-R, Juke, Leaf, Patrol, Rogue, Titan, 370Z Roadster, and perhaps the most complex of them all, the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.
