If you’re looking for a Daimler model to take off-roading, the Unimog and G-Class are the two best options. However, the following Mercedes-Benz Vito we stumbled upon listed for sale through Reezocar could be the perfect alternative.

As you can tell, this Vito has undergone an array of modifications to give it some serious off-road credentials. Performed by the off-roadspecialists at Iglhaut, the most significant upgrades come under the skin and include an all-wheel drive system and no less than three locking differentials, just like the G-Class. Working alongside the new drivetrain is a revised suspension system that jacks up the ride height to ensure the Vito is able to crawl its way over the most difficult terrain.

Images of the Vito show it is sitting on a relatively small set of wheels and tires but there’s more than enough room in the arches for beefier rubber to be fitted to make it even more capable.

Despite all the work that has been done to the car, the standard 2.1-liter diesel remains under the hood and continues to deliver 190 hp and 324 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque and is coupled to a seven-speed automatic transmission. As vehicles like the Suzuki Jimny prove, power isn’t the be-all and end-all for an off-roader so the 2.1-liter is more than enough.

As the Vito is only a 2017 model, it hasn’t been driven all that much and only has 8,145 km (5,061 miles) on the odometer.

We left the price for with this heavily modified Vito for last as it’s listed for a hefty €77,390 ($84,083).
