This 1995 Ferrari F50, which just so happens to be the second of 349 units produced, is heading to RM Sotheby’s ‘Driving Into Summer’ online auction being held between May 21 and 28.
The car rolled out of the factory in 1995 and is painted in Rosso Corsa. It was imported to Germany and displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1995 before being sold to noted Ferrari collector Michael Gabel after the event ended.

In 2016, the iconic car was granted a Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming that it remains a numbers matching example. That same year, it was also given a major service that included a new fuel tank and inner tank protection at a cost of nearly €30,000 ($32,468). This F50 remained in Germany until March 2017 when it was imported to the United States and federalized to U.S. standards by JK Technologies from Maryland in a process costing over $100,000.
Despite having lived in two continents, mileage sits at a mere 3,371 miles (5,425 km) and the Rosso Corsa paint remains original and has been well cared for. The car is being sold with its Ferrari Classiche Red Book, owner’s manuals with original maintenance book, select service invoices, import documentation, tool kit, and its factory-supplied photo album documenting its construction. Earlier this month the car received an inspection and servicing from Ferrari of New England.
Driving the F50 is a legendary, Formula 1-derived 4.7-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine offering up 512 hp and revving to 8,000 rpm. The auction house expects it to sell for between $2.5 million and $2.75 million.
