An extensively modified Chevrolet Colorado that was displayed at the SEMA Show back in 2015 is up for sale from Mallett Cars in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Work on this project started with the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine of the Cadillac ATS-V. This engine typically produces 464 hp but Mallett Cars wanted some added grunt and set about upgrading the powertrain with a multitude of aftermarket parts. Changes made include a forged crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and most notably, the removal of the turbochargers in favour of a 1.9-liter supercharger.

Other engine upgrades enjoyed by the pickup include a custom 64 mm intercooler, a new water pump, heat exchanger, C7 Corvette throttle body, air intake, and a high-flow exhaust. The engine has been dyno tuned to deliver approximately 700 hp. To make sure the truck can handle that much power, Mallett reinforced the standard transmission. Also featured are adjustable Penske coilovers, custom lower control arms, a 9-inch differential, Brembo 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers, and an adjustable rear sway bar.
Mallett also raised and narrowed the rear section of the Colorado’s frame, allowing the bed to be widened by nine inches to support a set of wheels measuring 19×9.5 at the front and 20×13 at the rear with 285/35 and 315/35 tires respectively.
Alterations have also been made to the exterior including a lovely shade of green, a new front splitter, rear spoiler, and more. The truck has an asking price of $63,500 which seems very reasonable considering the modifications and the fact that it only has 600 miles (965 km) on the clock.
