With the Bavarian state government relaxing its COVID-19 restrictions, BMW Welt is poised to reopen its vehicle collection service, sales rooms and showrooms this Monday on May 4. Of course, how one will get to Germany if coming from abroad, is an interesting question, as many countries have travel restrictions in place – the USA included.
This means that at least German customers will once again be able to collect their BMW in person, which can be a very enjoyable experience if you’re a fan of the brand. In addition, a limited number of visitors will be able to access the showrooms, as well as the Lifestyle & Accessory Shop.
With a focus on health and safety, for both customers as well as employees, vehicle handovers, consultations and sales will be “carried out in compliance with all official safety regulations and measures.”

“For example, customers collecting their vehicles at BMW Welt will be shown to a private area of our unique BMW Product Info Center where they will be given a virtual demonstration of all the functions of their new BMW.”
Both sales rooms and showrooms will be open again for customers and visitors from Monday to Saturday, from 8 AM to 8 PM. However, the BMW Museum, BMW Group Classic and other restaurants on the premises will remain closed until further notice. The Bavarian carmaker will also not be giving out any guided tours, nor will it be organizing any public events or workshops (such as at the BMW Welt Junior Campus).
If you have planned your vehicle pickup at BMW Welt on or after May 4 next week, you are advised to contact your BMW partner for further information.
