The stock Lamborghini Urus is a supercar disguised as an SUV, but this one drops the ‘super’ prefix and replaces it with ‘hyper’.

It’s the work of German tuner HGP and boasts their Stage 2 upgrade kit, which includes modified turbos, new air intake, adapted electronics and a few other bells and whistles that have lifted the output to over 960 PS (+947 HP / 706 kW), while  torque is limited to 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft).

We will remind you that the stock Urus’ 4.0-liter V8, with dual turbochargers, develops 650 PS (641 HP / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft), for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) of 3.6 seconds and a 305 km/h (190 mph) top speed. With the new upgrades, the tuned SUV is capable of sprinting to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and can top out at around 340 km/h (211 mph).

In addition to the Stage 2 upgrade, whose price is available upon request, HGP is also offering a Stage 1 kit for the Italian super SUV. This one is also TUV certified and features an updated engine software and not much else, but the result is plentiful: 792 PS (781 HP / 582 kW) and 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft) available on tap.

To demonstrate what their extreme Stage 2 Urus is capable of, the German tuner has released a video that shows it in action, measuring its performance using a third-party device that reveals, among others, a quarter-mile time of 10.54 seconds. You can also imagine what it feels like to sit in a vehicle that has Bugatti Veyron-rivaling levels of power, so this would be a good time to take that snack break.
