Not long after it was reported that Tesla is choosing between Austin, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma to build its Cybertruck factory, the latter has launched a weird marketing campaign to appeal to Elon Musk.
It’s worth pointing out right away that this website appears to be made by fans as opposed to anyone from Tulsa’s government. Nevertheless, it’s certainly an intriguing way to make a statement that starts with the web address; bigf**kingfield.com and establishes a number of reasons explaining why this is the location where Tesla should build its new factory.

The website starts out with the following statement; “Big F**king Field here. Yes, I’ve heard the news – it’s between me and Austin. The choice seems pretty clear. And if it’s not…allow me to assist.” A number of key selling points for Tulsa are then listed, including established infrastructure links to “water, natural gas, sewage, roads, wind, sun, hydro energy.” It also lists the distance to Mars as being 150.2 million miles and the distance to the Securities and Exchange Commission HQ at 1,053 miles, an agency Musk would very much like to avoid dealing with in the future.
A number of fake quotes are also featured. One from Joe Rogan reads “Elon, this is good grass. I mean it, dude,” while one from Steve Jobs states “I have tasted the dirt in Oklahoma, and it is delicious.”
A further section of the website allows you to place a $100 deposit to secure the piece of 1,500-acre land which, of course, doesn’t actually lead to any kind of online checkout and is just there to grab your attention.
In a move from Tulsa mayor G.T. Bynum himself to convince Musk to build the Cybertruck factory in the Oklahoma city, Bynum has indicated Tulsa will deploy a fleet of Cybertruck police cars.
