For quite some time, a number of companies have been trying to find the perfect middle ground between a car and a motorcycle, hence why vehicles such as the Campagna T-Rex and Polaris Slingshot exist. Over in Italy, we recently came across a weird BMW-badged cross between a car and a motorbike – and it’s for sale.

Limited details about the vehicle are known, although we have reached out to the seller to try and learn more. In the meantime, it would appear the vehicle was built way back in 1997 and uses the powertrain of a BMW K75, a motorcycle manufactured between 1985 and 1995.

Consequently, this unique three-wheeled BMW features a 740 cc three-cylinder producing 75 hp and 50 lb-ft (68 Nm) of torque. Of course, the vehicle would weigh more much than a normal motorbike so wouldn’t be as fast. Nevertheless, we suspect it could still be quite fun to drive. It is listed up for sale from Autovergiate F.lli Rossi Srl in Italy for €38,000 ($41,707).

A look inside the cabin reveals that it features traditional car controls with a steering wheel, throttle and brake pedals, and a clutch. There’s also a manual transmission with the shifter sticking up to the right of the steering wheel. Like the recently unveiled Czinger 21C, the vehicle also sports a jet fighter-style seating layout.

The exterior design is truly bizarre, like most other three-wheelers. The front bumper has the proportions of a low-slung sports car but there is a very thin and glass-clad cockpit that juxtaposes the shape of the front fascia. Spin around to the rear where there is just a single wheel and you will notice dual tailpipes and various air intakes to feed the engine.
