You shouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet and that’s especially true with a rumor claiming the 2021 Ford F-150 will be unveiled on June 19th.
The date was posted by the F150Gen14 Forums which said the official unveiling would follow a media preview on June 15th.
We’ve checked with Ford and the automaker told us that the rumored unveiling on the 19th is “inaccurate.” However, the company said they’re “very excited” about the upcoming pickup and are eager to share it with fans.

While there’s no word on when the debut will take place, the 2021 F-150 promises to improve on its predecessor by offering more advanced technology and more fuel efficient powertrains.
Previous spy photos have shown the truck will feature an all-new front fascia with a slimmer and more rounded grille. It will be flanked by new headlights which have C-shaped LED daytime running lights that continue all the way down into the redesigned front bumper.
The rest of the model will be pretty evolutionary, but there will be new taillights and a revised tailgate.
Bigger changes will occur in the cabin as previous photos have shown the pickup will have a digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment system. We can expect the latter to be a SYNC 4 system which the company has previously said will be available with 8-, 12- and 15.5-inch displays.
Besides being more high-tech, drivers will find higher quality materials and an improved design. There will also be an evolutionary steering wheel and new switchgear such as climate controls with digital displays.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but choices are expected to largely carryover. They could include a 3.3-liter V6 with 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) as well as a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS). There could also be a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and a 5.0-liter V8 developing 395 hp (295 kW / 400 PS).
On the eco-friendly side, there should be a 3.0-liter PowerStroke V6 diesel with at least 250 hp (186 kW / 253 PS) and 440 lb-ft (596 Nm) of torque. It could be joined by a new hybrid variant featuring a 3.5-liter petrol engine. Ford is also working on an electric variant which was teased last year.
