It has been revealed that deliveries of the Ford Mustang Mach-E will be pushed back until 2021 in a number of European countries.
Ford had been planning on delivering the all-electric Mustang Mach-E to Europe later this year, but in emails sent to those who have ordered the car it confirmed disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic have left it with no option but to delay the car.
Members of the Mach-E Club in the UK, France, and the Netherlands have all received emails in recent days confirming the news.

In an email sent to a UK buyer, Ford wrote, “Unfortunately, the disruption from COVID-19 at our production facility in North America has resulted in a delay to the delivery of your Mustang Mach-E. We expect deliveries to begin in the UK in early 2021 but can confirm, that as one of our pre-order customers, you are at the front of the queue.”
While this is sad news for European customers, it isn’t surprising as many cars have had their delays pushed back due to COVID-19. As for customers in the United States, Ford recently issued a statement saying deliveries are still on track to start this year, although we suspect they won’t happen until the fourth quarter. In the meantime, Ford is putting the finishing touches to the car.
A couple of weeks ago, it announced the Mustang Mach-E charges approximately 30 per cent faster than previously estimated. More specifically, Ford says the extended-range rear-wheel drive variant can get roughly 61 miles (98 km) of range in 10 minutes at an Electrify America DC fast charging station. Elsewhere, the extended-range all-wheel drive model can get 52 miles (94 km) of range with a 10-minute charge.
