The new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport was supposed to premiere at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show in March, yet with the biggest car event of the spring cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the French automaker took to the world wide web for the grand unveiling.

Now, as most countries have started relaxing their lockdown measures, Bugatti will finally take it to the Swiss city, although it won’t be your run-of-the-mill shipping job.

No sir, because the hypercar has embarked on a European tour, which already started off in Paris, with a couple of more stops en route to Geneva, including London and Hamburg.

“We are very happy to finally present the new Chiron Pur Sport to our customers. Many were disappointed about the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show”, said Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann. “As the most extreme hyper sports car in our Chiron family, it has already won many fans. It is an uncompromising hyper sports car, created for even more agility and cornering dynamics. Pure and extreme.”

Before moving on to the image gallery that shows the Chiron Pur Sport in Paris near the Eiffel Tower, we will remind you that production is limited to 60 units and assembly will commence in the second half of the year. Pricing starts at €3 million (~$3.3 million), excluding tax, and each Pur Sport features revised aerodynamics and a few lightweight improvements.

A total of 1,479 HP (1,500 PS / 1,103 kW) are produced by the 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, which is a signature feature of all modern Bugattis. In the Pur Sport, the sixteen-pot features a recalibrated transmission and can be revved up to 6,900 rpm, up from 6,700 rpm in the standard Chiron.
