The dashcam of a (possibly unmarked – it’s hard to tell due to the position of the cam) police vehicle in Hungary has captured the moments leading up to a crash involving a black BMW 3-Series Touring.
As the police cruiser was driving along a straight stretch of road, it was overtaken by a black 3-Series Touring whose driver presumably didn’t notice they were speeding past a police car. The BMW’s radar shows the 3-Series passed them at approximately 154 km/h (96 mph), but despite making a safe overtake, the driver continued to accelerate, eventually hitting 190 km/h (118 mph) when speeding past another vehicle up the road.

At this moment, the police cruiser decided to give chase. While the speeding 3-Series was out of sight at this stage, the police can be seen speaking with locals on the side of the road, likely asking if they’d seen the speeding car. Before long, the police continue through some of the streets in a small town and eventually find the BMW after it crashed into an Audi A8.
Images provided from the crash scene seem to suggest the BMW entered the right-hand turn with too much speed and slammed into the side of the Audi that was traveling in the opposite direction, although that’s just a hypothesis. In any case, quite a lot of damage was sustained by both cars.
For the Audi, we can see that both the driver’s side front and passenger doors have been smashed while the driver’s side rear wheel has also been pushed out of position. As for the BMW, we can see that its front end has been damaged, in particular the driver’s side front quarter panel.
