This Toyota Camry Solara Identifies As A BMW E60 M5 Convertible

The Toyota Camry Solara is one of the most ungainly cars produced by the Japanese automaker in recent decades, and this particular example for sale in the city of Winchester in Kentucky dials up that feeling to 11.

The previous owner of the car clearly wasn’t a fan of how the convertible left the Toyota factory and decided to affix the front end of an E60 M5 onto the Solara. Needless to say that the end result is far from satisfying – and that’s putting it mildly…

Then there’s the paint and other custom touches made to the body which, according to the seller, cost $3,500. The front end includes a mix of silver, white, and red and this theme continues across the rest of the car. There are also a set of aftermarket five-spoke wheels and apparently, a new folding roof has been fitted at a cost of $2,200.

Inside, there are custom leather seats finished in a mix of grey and white to mimic the exterior paint finish. The interior includes a host of other red accents, such as the floor mats and air vents, as well as an aftermarket stereo system.

According to the seller, the Solara generates “great feedback and lots of interests at car shows and on streets.” We’ve got no doubt it generates a lot of interest, but perhaps for the wrong reasons…

The Facebook listing says the car has an asking price of $1,234, but we suspect that’s a mistake with the description itself mentioning a price of $7,500.
