A new 2020 Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition has been launched to celebrate half a century of the iconic muscle car.
All 50th Anniversary models feature a satin black painted hood and black-wrapped roof and deck lid. In addition, the car comes complete with air catching headlights with LED-illuminated ‘50’ logos, model-specific badges, a satin black fuel filler door with heritage ‘FUEL’ lettering, a satin black Dodge taillamp badge, and a ‘Challenger50’ logo on the instrument panel.
The 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition is available on Challenger R/T, R/T Scat Pack and R/T Scat Pack Widebody models. R/T models come with 20×9-inch wheels, R/T Scat Pack and optional R/T models with Performance Plus Group are equipped with 20×9.5-inch wheels, while R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody models come with 20×11-inch wheels. Brembo brakes with Gunmetal-colored calipers are also featured.
Exterior color choices are limited to Smoke Show, Granite, Indigo Blue, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle. The unique features continue in the cabin where there are heated and ventilated Nappa leather and Alcantara suede performance seats with embroidered ‘50’ logo seatbacks, Alcantara door bolsters, and a host of carbon fiber accents and contrast stitching.
The latter is present on the instrument panel, door cards and armrest, center console lid, seat faces, and the leather, flat-bottom steering wheel. Other custom touches include white-faced gauges with yellow accents, a unique startup animation showcasing a 1970 Challenger, and premium floor mats with a ’50’ logo.
Opting for a 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition adds $4,995 to the price of a Challenger R/T, $5,495 to a Challenger R/T Scat Pack and $11,495 to the price tag of an R/T Scat Pack Widebody (including the $6,000 Widebody Package). Dealerships will start taking deliveries in the fall. In addition to launching the special edition model, Dodge has announced the ‘Smoke Show’ paint will also be available on the 2020 Charger.
