Bentley is readying a facelift to the Bentayga and will reportedly launch the upgraded SUV later this year. In fact, just the other day, we got what appears to be an early official look at the updated model through a set of leaked photos, which indicate that the styling changes set to be made will be very minor.
But what if Bentley’s designers had opted for a more aggressive approach with the Bentayga facelift taking inspiration from the limited-edition Mulliner Bacalar? Enter the digital realm of Kleber Silva who took it upon himself to answer that question.

While the front-end of the current Bentayga has always been instantly identifiable, it isn’t what we’d call attractive. By comparison, the fascia of the Bacalar is a serious looker thanks to the oval-shaped headlights and horizontal LED daytime running lights. As it turns out, the Bacalar’s styling traits seem to translate very well onto the exterior of the Bentayga.
In addition to featuring the same headlights and DRLs as the multi-million dollar droptop from Mulliner, the facelifted Bentayga pictured has the same blacked-out front grille, lower grille, and angular air intakes. What’s more, the hood of the Bacalar has also been grafted onto the luxury SUV.
The photoshop artist made few changes to the rear of the Bentayga with the bumper and taillights going untouched. The only change we can see is the fitment of an additional ‘Bentley’ badge on the lower portion of the tailgate.
According to reports, the engines of the current Bentayga will be carried through to the facelifted model. Consequently, entry-level ICE variants will continue to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 542 hp and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Sitting above this engine in the range will be a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 with 600 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm). Moreover, this powertrain will be tweaked to 626 hp for use in the new Bentayga Speed.
The 2021 Bentayga is expected to also be sold in hybrid form with the same turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, electric motor, and 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack as the current model.
