While it was busy developing the Venom GT aimed at exceeding 300 mph, Texas tuner Hennessey Performance found the time to launch this in mid-2019: a six-wheeled version of the Chevrolet Silverado it dubs the ‘Goliath 6×6.’

Showcased in the video below, this beast is the type of machine that could turn even more heads than the latest hypercar from Koenigsegg or Pagani. It shows just how insane a pickup truck can become if you think outside the box and aren’t afraid to create something crazy.

The current obsession with 6×6 conversions can be largely attributed to the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 released a few years ago. Hennessey’s Silverado-based Goliath 6×6 isn’t only bigger than the Mercedes but also more powerful.

After stretching out the bed of the Silverado, Hennessey adds a second axle at the rear and then lifts the ride height by 8 inches and fits a host of other bespoke suspension components. It then turns its attention to the powertrain, fitting the Silverado’s 6.2-liter V8 with a 2.9-liter supercharger that boosts output to 705 hp and 675 lb-ft (914 Nm). As mental as this may sound, the example featured in this video packs even more grunt, as it has been upgraded to 800 hp.

Let’s be honest, no one needs a vehicle like this. Not only would it be far too big for normal parking spaces, but we’d be worried about running over other cars when driving it out in public. However, as a means of making a statement, we can’t think of too many vehicles that do a better job than the Goliath 6×6.
