Ferrari replicas are a dime a dozen, but many of them are rather shoddy and unconvincing.
That’s certainly not the case with this Toyota MR2 which has been transformed into an authentic-looking Ferrari 360 Spider.
Based on the third and final generation MR2, the car has been given an extensive makeover which includes a number of real Ferrari components including the head- and taillights.

The roadster also has Ferrari-esque bumpers, new body panels and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Elsewhere, there’s a front splitter, a rear diffuser and five-spoke alloy wheels with prancing horse logos.
While most replicas skimp out on the interior, this one does a decent job mimicing the cabin of the 360. While the pictures aren’t great, you can see the car has been equipped with a new center stack and a revised dashboard featuring circular air vents. There’s also Ferrari badging on the tachometer, floor mats and door sill plates.
Despite the rather convincing looks, you won’t mistake this for a 360 Spider when you hit the gas. While the real thing has a 3.6-liter V8 engine that produces 395 hp (294 kW / 400 PS), this replica makes due with the MR2’s 1.8-liter four-cylinder that develops 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS). That’s a huge difference, but at least the engine is connected to a manual transmission.
The car is currently listed on Mobile for €27,000 ($30,316 / £24,570) and has 85,128 miles (137,000 km) on the odometer.
