You can’t get much for a $100, but you can reserve a 2021 Ford Bronco.
Following its unveiling, which will occur on July 13th to avoid O.J. Simpson’s birthday, the company will begin taking reservations.
The plan was first reported by Automotive News which says the reservation process will echo that of the Mustang Mach-E. As a result, customers can place a $100 deposit and effectively save their spot in line.

Closer to launch, customers will configure their Bronco and work with a local dealership to complete the transaction. If they have second thoughts, no problem as the deposit is refundable.
The $100 deposit was later confirmed by Ford’s North American Product Communications Manager, Mike Levine, and there’s little doubt the company is expecting to receive thousands of reservations following the Bronco’s debut.
The Bronco, of course, isn’t much of a secret as numerous pictures have surfaced on forums and social media. The model will be a rugged SUV that is based on the Ranger and features a retro-inspired body with a removable roof. The latter isn’t the only Jeep-like feature a photos have suggested the Bronco will have locking differentials and an electronic sway bar disconnect to battle the Wrangler Rubicon.
Under the hood, we can expect at least two different engines including an entry-level 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 270 hp (201 kW / 274 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. There could also be a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. Both are expected to be offered with either a ten-speed automatic or a seven-speed manual with an off-road focused crawler gear.
