One of the biggest highlights of the new Ford Bronco is the ability to be fitted with 35-inch tires straight from the factory but as it turns out, this option won’t be available in combination with a manual transmission.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine revealed on Twitter that the big-tire Sasquatch package can only be specified with the 10-speed automatic transmission on both the 2.3-liter inline-four and 2.7-liter V6 engine options, at least for now.

The Sasquatch package is available with all trim levels of the new Ford Bronco and includes pretty much all the best off-road goodies you can get for it: 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels shod in 35-inch LT315/70 mud-terrain tires and the necessary high-clearance fender flares, electronic-locking differentials front and rear, a 4,7:1 final drive ratio, and a higher suspension with trick Bilstein shocks.
Ford’s decision to offer the new Bronco with a manual transmission was met with enthusiasm online, particularly since the gearbox comes with six forward ratios plus a crawler gear. The three-pedal option will be offered only in conjunction with the four-cylinder engine. Opt for the advanced 4×4 system and the 33-inch tires and the manual Bronco offers a class-leading 94.75:1 crawl ratio.

Despite not offering the Sasquatch with the manual transmission, Levine added that Ford is “open to feedback for those that feel otherwise” and that “this is just the start”, opening the door wide open to potential changes in the near future. That is of course if enough of you express your interest on a manual Bronco with the 35-inch tires straight from the factory.
