Reports of a Ford Bronco-based pick-up truck have been making the rounds as of late, although we likely aren’t going to see one in showrooms for at least another couple of years.
Still, if it does come, it will serve as a direct rival to the Jeep Gladiator, which means it most certainly will not be based on the Bronco Sport, like that recent Ford Maverick render we showed you last week.
This render, courtesy of Kolesa, is based on the full size four-door Bronco, which is exactly what we should expect given how any potential Gladiator rival will undoubtedly need to come in a large Crew Cab configuration.

In terms of aesthetics, the render seems to maybe have a bit of an unnecessarily long bed. A shorter one would make for a better-looking package given the Bronco’s styling – but to each his own.
Overall, it’s hard to imagine Ford messing up the styling of the Bronco pickup, especially since this all-new model (Bronco SUV) already features such simple and iconic styling, both the four- and the two-door model.
As for equipment levels and engine range, the Bronco pickup should feature the same goodies inside as the SUV, with powertrains presumably being carried over too: a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot with 270 HP and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque and a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 310 HP and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.
Since the regular Bronco is priced from $28,500 and the Gladiator kicks off from $33,545, a future Bronco pickup should carry a $30k+ sticker too, although it’s definitely way too early to speculate.
