There’s nothing quite like an inter-family rivalry, so for their latest drag race, CarWow brought along the three current Lamborghinis on sale for a series of tests.

Nowadays, Lamborghini’s range of series-production models consists of the Urus, Huracan, and Aventador. Admittedly, CarWow was testing the Urus against a Huracan Performante and an Aventador SV, two limited-edition models that are no longer produced. Nevertheless, the three are more evenly matched than one might expect.

The first three races saw the trio go head to head for a sprint down the quarter-mile. For the first two races, the driver of the Aventador SV nailed the launch, accelerating off the line like a bat out of hell, leaving the other two in its dust. Meanwhile, the driver of the Huracan had such a poor launch that the Urus was actually ahead of it for quite some time.

In the third race, the driver of the Huracan finally got the launch right and almost matched the SV for the first few hundred feet. What’s more, before long the less powerful Huracan sped past the Aventador, helped by the fact that it is lighter and that its dual-clutch transmission shifts much quicker than the gearbox of the Aventador. The Huracan completed the quarter-mile in 10.7 seconds, while the Aventador needed 10.8 seconds and the Urus needed 11.5 seconds.

To conclude the video, a pair of rolling races were held, as was a braking test. With off the line traction not being an issue, which one do you think won, the Urus, the Huracan or the Aventador?
