BMW has dropped a new gallery of the exciting 2020 M2 CS being driven at the Sachsenring in Germany, showing its latest sports car in all of its glory.
The new BMW M2 CS was first unveiled in November last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It sits above the M2 Competition in the range and is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine pumping out 444 HP and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.

Being the driver’s car that it is, the M2 CS is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch, both of which send power to the rear wheels courtesy of an Active M Differential. The stick shift model has an official 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 4.0 seconds and continues through a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h). By comparison, the M2 CS with its dual-clutch hits 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and has the same top speed.
As the M2 CS is the most track-focused variant of the compact sports car, BMW has also ensured it can brake just as well as it can accelerate. Consequently, it features six-piston calipers up front with 15.7-inch (400 mm) discs while at the rear are four-piston calipers with 15-inch (380 mm) discs. Owners can opt for the available M Carbon Ceramic Brakes.
BMW intends on building just 2,200 examples of the M2 CS worldwide and it is not cheap. In the United States, prices start at $83,600 excluding a $995 destination fee, making it almost $25,000 more expensive than the regular M2 Competition
