If you’re a fan of Miami Vice, you may notice this 1977 Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 Spider looks just like one of the hero cars of the series. Well, the car is currently up for sale and it has an interesting history.
Although it may look like a real Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4, this is instead a replica, very similar to the one that was driven by actor Don Johnson in Miami Vice. After the show started to rise in popularity, it is claimed that Ferrari was quite displeased a doppelganger was being used so the Daytona was destroyed on-screen and replaced by a genuine Ferrari Testarossa. While this replica isn’t the one from the series, it was built by the same manufacturer that made the Miami Vice show’s Ferrari clone.
